BGC Prince County currently offers Before and After-School Programs at both our Summerside and Wellington Club locations. These programs provide safe, reliable, and engaging care for school-aged children, supporting families with flexible options that promote healthy development, learning, and fun beyond the school day.
Canadian Tire Breakfast Program
Launched as the first Breakfast Program on PEI, our Canadian Tire Nutritional Breakfast Program runs year-round, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. It includes early morning supervision, physical activity, and nutritious food, followed by transportation to seven local schools. The program plays a vital role in helping children start their day focused and energized.
Each day, children enjoy a rotating menu that may include:
Toast or bagels with butter/jam
Cereal (5 varieties)
Yogurt and fresh fruit
Waffles or pancakes
Breakfast bars
Chocolate/white milk or juice

After-School Program - Summerside, Wellington & Kensington
Offered every school day until 6:00 PM, our After-School Program provides transportation from local schools to the Club, where children receive a healthy snack and participate in a variety of fun, skill-building activities. These include:
Homework help
Arts & crafts
Gym time and games
Movies in our mini-theatre
Outdoor play and local park visits
Children also enjoy special access to Credit Union Place for swimming, bowling, skating, and walking track use. Programs are led by caring staff and include nationally recognized BGC Canada offerings like Power Up!, Cool Moves, Kid Tech Nation, and STEAM Ahead.
Power Up! – Boosts academic confidence through homework help and learning activities.
Cool Moves – Encourages healthy eating and active living in fun, engaging ways.
Kid Tech Nation – Teaches kids digital skills, coding, and internet safety.
STEAM Ahead – Combines science, tech, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on projects.
