Club mornings are great mornings! The Canadian Tire Breakfast Program helps children begin their day feeling supported and ready to learn.
Running year-round from 6:30–8:30 a.m., the program offers a safe, welcoming space where kids can start their day with friends. Whether they’re playing in the gym, getting creative in the craft room, finishing homework, or enjoying a quiet game, every child starts the in a positive, supporting environment.
A nutritious, rotating breakfast is prepared and served in our Club kitchen — because a healthy breakfast helps prepare our members for a great day. During the school year, public school buses pick up children right from the Club, making mornings simpler for families.
The Canadian Tire Breakfast Program has been operating at BGC Prince County for over 2 decades, starting at the original “Boys & Girls Club of Summerside”, now BGC Summerside. The breakfast program most recently expanded to BGC Wellington in 2023, and future growth to BGC Kensington is predicted for 2026.
After-School Program
The Atlantic Superstore After-School Program provides a safe, welcoming space where kids can unwind, explore new interests, and spend time with friends after the school day ends.
Starting around 2:40 p.m., members arrive at the Club by public school bus and are greeted with a healthy snack. Once everyone’s had a chance to eat and settle in, children join their age group for structured programming that keeps afternoons active and engaging.
Groups rotate through a variety of spaces — from the gymnasium and craft room to the technology centre, games room, and movie theatre — with time outdoors at Billy Bridges Park when weather allows. Members can also visit the homework room, where bilingual homework support is always available.
Open until 6:00 p.m., the program offers working families peace of mind and children a place to learn, play and build confidence and friendships.
