Howard Waite, along with Mel Campbell, founded the BGC Prince County Summerside Club in the early 60’s after they’ve identified youth needed a place to go after school and on weekends. Howard believed that the club would offer youth with a place to belong, a sense of pride in their accomplishments and an opportunity to develop their leadership skills from one year to the next. Howard, a successful businessman and practicing pharmacist for 60 years, strongly valued the importance of education and giving back to the community.
